Leasing Consultant Example

  1. Prospective resident request for housing rejected due to poor credit / poor rental history.
  2. Leasing consultant suggests NPS to overcome credit barriers and distributes company information explaining that apartment lease is contingent upon program approval and continued participation.
  3. Prospective resident agrees and provides personal data for NPS application; identical to information in lease application; signs NPS agreement.
  4. Leasing consultant accesses account number for prospective resident from the NPS website and provides prospective resident with direct deposit instruction form. (See a sample form at the end of this section.)
  5. Prospective resident brings the NPS direct deposit instruction form to their employer to authorize direct deposit to NPS.
  6. NPS receives direct payroll deposit and notifies landlord that prospective resident has now been accepted into the NPS program.
  7. Leasing consultant / landlord makes final determination of whether or not to rent to the prospective resident.
  8. Landlord issues a rental lease, contacts the resident to move in, and notifies NPS.
